i think it's less that the boy doesn't just want sex instead of a relationship, but that the act of sex itself freaks him out. that's the vibe i get. also, there are alternate chorus lyrics. they go: "The people, the focus. | i've listened to this song a million times and never heard "smoke weed." maybe you should lay off the weed haha. i always saw this as him missing his lady as she goes away on some trip. "i'll urn this bed.. where i'll hide for the next 17 days" refers to him likely hiding at home from the world while he waits for her return. "The night is ending as the sun warms your face Won't you turn around and stay for good " is his wanting her to change her mind and come back. so he can hardly wait for her to come back so he can "get the sun and your lips both pressing on my skin" | |
