This is pretty much exactly what it is about.... They used to ride the Q53 bus or Q11 and Q21 down Woodhaven blvd. and over Crossbay blvd. into Rockaway (probably from 63rd Dr. or Queens Center Mall). It's funny how you talk about the Italians in Howard Beach and Ozone Park because it's still like that today when you travel on the Q53 into Rockaway. The only thing I wonder is what year this song was written about....not the year it was written, but the year it was lived. |
