ok so i had to make an account because i think i finally understand the song completely. the first verse is talking about how its hard to get up and try living when everything seems to being going wrong and everything is depressing. he has things he wants to say but he cant find a way to express it. if he had a "poem" referring to a way to fix his broken home. hed "read" or try it everyday. the chorus was the challenging part i think it hes talkin to the parents "so heres your holiday" or heres your brake from the other person "you gave it all away" they gave away the life they had together as one family. it was his to enjoy, but they took it away. the last twenty years then all go to waste and he doesnt think its right second verse their constant fighting hurts his ears and feelings.he then says he hopes they "remember this night" or the day they split up, when there dead and gone. again he says they just threw away the last twenty years and it isnt right tell me what you guys think of my interpretation |
