Probably my favorite from this album. No comments yet?? Its (obviously) about making up your mind and sticking to your guns and not being swayed. You are telling someone to give up trying to change you because you are who you are and you believe in what you believe in. |

I always though the lyrics went like this: "You're everything I hate, you're everything I loathe..." For me this song represented finally separating yourself from a relationship gone bad. "Save yourself tonight, stop the fight, because everything... its over" Realize that everything is over, that you can't fight for your relationship anymore. Save yourself before the fight ends up killing you. "You think you got what it takes then get up" Stop hanging onto the past and get back up on that horse. "3,2,1. We got 3 seconds to freedom" 3 seconds is all it can take to finally free yourself. I could be way off base with this and I'm not trying to turn this into another emo song or anything. Pop Evil has such a raw rock sound that holds true to a "Gun & Roses-esque" era. Love them. Hope they release more music. |

I created an account just so I could comment here. The Seatbelts are amazing and I'm shocked this song only has 2 comments. If you watched episode 24 of Cowboy Bebop then you know what this is all about. (I guess if you read the lyrics you'd know too). But yeah this song is amazing. The Seatbelts are amazing. And its already been said by KuzzEyeSedSoe but Yoko Kanno IS a Goddess. When you're a musical genius you'll find how others steal your creativity (i.e. the Verve with Bittersweet Symphony) Well thats my opinion anyway. |
