I read a magazine article about bmth and Oli said this about Chelsea Smile
"The song "Chelsea Smile" is what Suicide Season is about.The song describes something that happened to me that no one knows about,apart from a few people.When it happened,I did not tell anyone,friends or family.It was heavy shit and it could have destroyed the band and everything else good in my life."
He then later claims that the pain from that experience made him want to kill himself and he just couldn't believe he felt that way because he had never before understood how someone could kill themselves.He then says that he delt with the pain by "praying" but mostly just talking to himself. He says he doesn't believe in the christian god but that he believes in something higher. |
