I agree I definetly think its about prostitution.. I really think that because of the lines that say It's a funny way, to make ends meet when the lights are out on every street It feels alright, but never complete I think the first line is talking about prostitution, and the second line is at night walking the streets, and the third line is talking about the sex. But I think it could maybe maybe mean in this line It's a cruel cruel world, to face on your own, A heavy cross, to carry along The lights are on, but everyone's gone And it's cruel" That afterwards she is still alone and I think the heavy cross is the burden of what she has to do to make ends meet, which makes it a cruel world. On the rainy nights, even the coldest days, You're moments ago, but seconds away I think is about her being out even on rainy nights and cold days, and talking about her clients, one being moments ago and one seconds away, |
