Alizée – Lui Ou Toi Lyrics 16 years ago
Here's a link of a translation of it: http://alizee-reflections.net/lui_ou_toi.html

But basically, the song's about two important men in her life. One's mature and dependable and the other's mysterious and passionate, and she's wracked with guilt because she can't decide which one she "loves". Hence the title, "lui ou toi" ("You or Him".)

Matthew West – Sellout Lyrics 16 years ago
I love the lyrics to this song because it's completely relevant to the walk contemporary Christians have to walk. In our culture, we're trained to do what feels good (usually, conveniently, in terms of what our friends also happen to like) and challenge anything that's old and consequently in danger of being "outdated".

As the song points out though, there's nothing wrong with selling out your carnal desires for your Savior--nothing wrong with losing your "self" to be more like Him. Once we realize that, we gain the strength to face the embarrassment of a world that will ultimately always reject us for the sake of a King who will always stand by our side. :D

Matthew West – You Know Where To Find Me Lyrics 16 years ago
I completely agree with nerdy scarlett: the song is about how God is always there for us.

He's given us freedom of choice as a gift, and the world has made it its mission to offer us countless numbers of choices, millions of alternatives that aren't Him. As a result, when we're weighed down and drowning, we feel ourselves breaking, thinking that we have to struggle through alone, that if we don't, we're weak and there's something wrong with us. But he wants us to know he's always there--that there's nothing wrong with us not being able to bear the burden, because we never could to begin with.

That's why he sent his Son, after all. :)
