It is definitely as stated above in the lyrics. Champiodi is wrong; sorry, but it is true. Now I envy the night for it's absence of light seems a direct allusion to Nietszche. Which would give this song an incredibly deep meaning. I'm just not sure Dax is ever that cognizant of his songs meanings... |

Yeah, I think it's a bit deeper than a wife cheating. It seems that the writer is the other man, and he's losing control of his emotions--perhaps b/c the child of which the song speaks is his. Either way, he becomes too attached to a woman that didn't belong to him. It seems that he is putting everything in her hands at the end of the song: "will you let me know, when you let me go" he knows that he has no right to be jealous, yet he he is so enraged... |
