The mission of brainwashing people into killing themselves... This can happen in a variety of ways, through alcohol, drugs, anorexia, suicide, music, you know the like... People kill each other everyday over materialism and the desire to be above the next man. You do not need a gun to kill somebody if you can trick someone into using something people love against them. You can be a slave to your own addiction, and "mass consumption" is an addiction. It can range from drugs, alcohol, sex, anything. And you know too much of anything can what? Eventually kill you.... |

I agree. That is many people's defense mechanism. "I can break any law, do anything I want because I am packing plastic, and that is the cure to my pain, or the shield from danger around me" believe it or not people think that way. They think money can save them from everything, but I see very rich people still checking out (killing themselves), and overdosing on narcotics... I wonder why that is....? |

I think the "fear" is the fear of failure or being seen as mediocre in everyone's eyes. That is what drives people to become famous stars and idolized by everyone, many people cannot just be average Joe's and still be happy, they need to be worshiped by masses of people and or looked upon as better or more superior than others. From reading her lyrics, it only makes sense, when she says "I am being taken over by the Fear" is must mean that she is been taken over by the fear of failure or inferiority. |
