This song makes me think that he hates what punk has become and how everyone thinks it's supposed to be about "back in the day", when really "back in the day" to them is like, ten years ago. Punk wasn't at it's prime ten years ago like these assholes say it is, and he's sick of everyone trying to make it into something like an exclusive club that only the cool kids can get into. So he ends up night after night and show after show just drinking trying to forget about how he hates these people. I could be completely wrong, and probably am, this is just what I think about. |
