| Architecture in Helsinki – Maybe You Can Owe Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Love this song ever since my friend introduced it to me. Only just really paid attention to the lyrics, and the "longing for someone, making stupid mistakes" interpretation some other people have posted. Coincidentally, the person I feel that meaning pertains to in my life is the one who introduced me to the song! D: |

| Also, the film clip is the best thing I've ever seen besides Christopher Walken dancing in an office building. | |

Absolutely love this song. The x2 and x4's pertain to the whole paragraph they're in. It made more sense the way I formatted it but it didn't come out the same way. |

| Limp Bizkit – Behind Blue Eyes (The Who cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Generally I'm fine with covers, as some of my favourite songs are covers. But Limp Bizkit just royally boned this song. The THE most annoying thing is the blatant auto tuner on his voice because he can't sing for shit, and his "waah waaah" attitude. Fucking get over it, this is an ANGRY song. That's why there's an emotion fuelled section in the middle. Pete said he wrote it about the emotional parts of love, and Roger turned it into the anger behind love. ANY emotion that was in either the Who's version or Pete's solo work went straight out the window and never came back. Cry s'mooar, Durst! |

| The Who – Postcard Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
A song John Entwistle wrote about travelling around the world on tour, and the bad experiences that come along with it. Most notably the bad time they had in Australia when Pete decided they would not tour here again. That is, until March/April this year when they toured, and I saw them on my birthday. Brilliant. He said they were extremely sorry they hadn't come before, because it's a lovely place. Made my year. |

| The Who – It's Hard Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
It should be noted that nearly all the lyrics from this song came from one of Pete's demos "Popular", where instead of "It's hard, it's very very etc." he goes on to say "I just wanna be popular" about four times. Anyway, it's an alright song. Better than some of the songs on the album, which isn't saying much. |

| The Who – Sunrise Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
A song about someone that just cannot let go of a crush. He turns down other chances for love, possibly due to 'limerence', "the illusion of reciprocated affection from an intense attraction where there is none", but then she disappears and he feels stupid for passing up the other opportunities. And it just keeps happening, because she's more beautiful than the sunrise and he can't let that go. I know exactly how he feels. |

| The Who – 905 Lyrics | 16 years ago |

According to an interview by either Pete or John, John was writing a rock opera based on Lifehouse, except "there's these robot guys living together, and there's no women because that's what they're eating". Lifehouse was a little spotty to begin with, I'm glad John didn't go through with it. This is a great song though. |

| The Who – Love, Reign O'er Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |

John's theme is "Is it me?" It doesn't actually have a dedicated song on the album, but it's littered through all the other songs. |
