I think he could be talking to himself in this song. Maybe he's realizing what's become of him and has decided to leave that person behind to become better. |

I think this whole album is obvioulsy about a relationship. But I think this song in peticular is about a relationship that went wrong because one of the people didn't say everything that they could've/should've. And now the other party wants nothing to do with them. So, they're lost because they don't know what else to do but love this person, even though this person no longer loves them. I think "I wish I was as strong..." isn't about a person dying, but about that person being fine after the relationship was over, unlike the speaker of the song. Also, i believe the chorus is saying as the days go by, they begin to forget the other person, and they are more lost for it because now they have absolutely nothing. And then something comes along a reminds them of the one they lost, so the cycle stars over once again. But this might just be my personal experience talking. |
