It's just about how you're with someone but you don't get enough time with them (for whatever reason, maybe personal, distance, or whatever) and you love them so much. you know deep down inside that they're the one, despite the fact that you can't really see them a lot. you know that later on, for whatever reason is keeping you apart now, you will be with them and you can't wait for that day. and even though you don't spend that much time with them, just being in their arms for a second is the greatest thing in the world. i've been looking for a song like this. thank you Jamestown Story! |

My parents have been divorced since I was born. I met my dad when I was only 7 and I only seen for only 4 years after that. He walked out of my life for unknown reasons and did the same for my two brother, my sister and her 3 children. My sister found out he was sick with Lyme Disease in the very few months after he had left but now it has come to my understanding, after he was diagnosed with Lyme Disease, he's been very sick after that. My dad is dying from cancer- or so the doctors think that's the problem- and because of everything that has been going on with him, he seems to believe that he's dying and as much as my sister and I don't want to think that, we believe it as well. I can relate to this song 'cause it's making me realize that even though he had left and I was mad at him for doing so, getting that phone call on telling me he is sick made me realize that I was wrong for being mad. |

it makes since that it's about Global Warming i somewhat agree with you Cyclamen. I do think that they are conscious that it's happening but instead of doing anything or taking any action, they're just sitting there and still doing what they are doing today that is causing global warming. "turn a blind eye to the light" refers to how easy it is to do something to change what's happening. like if u don't recycle, start doing it, or if you live close to ur work or school, maybe walk to take your bike instead. the whole thing of "Are you looking for a miracle" is about well if you guys are just gonna sit on your butts and not do anything, like what are you waiting for? some kinda miracle to fix this huge problem that is going on. "It's too easy to bow your head and pray There are some times when you should try to find your voice This is one voice that you must find today" means that of course you can pray and stuff but sometimes it's not good enough, especially to ppl who may not even believe in God in the first place (i'm not one of those people), and that raising your voice and saying "hey, we have a serious problem" can help. even if you think not. The world will not change by itself and the reason that things are happening today are happening because sometimes we let it happen and others turn and see that "hey they're doing it too, maybe i should" this part, in my opinion doesn't just talk about global warming but the problems people are facing today like gang violence, teenage pregnancy, teenage drug and alcohol use and how sometimes some ppl pass it up or not even that, they see that everyone is doing it and they turn around and say "i can too" (referring to what i just said about above) |

I've always loved this song, i think it kinda relates to me because of things happening now. i'm putting it like a boy and a girl this girl is with a guy that is scared to lose her but she knows she won't walk away because she feels something so different when she with him and her heart tells her that she belong to him and everything else. maybe something happened and the girl is crying on her bed and that being away from him is killing her, and that the girl knows it's because they belong with that guy. the guy is so focused on his past relationship and that's what causes him to be scared; everyone else walked out on him. the girl is so frustrated that she wants to give up ("i don't want to runaway but I can't take it, I don't understand") but knows he's the one and she can't just give up although she doesn't understand why he can't see how much she truly loves him. even though the narrator is a guy, i put it as a girl because this is what i'm going through. songs have different meanings for different people, this is my meaning for the song. |
