This is Thom's response of the death of Dr. David Kelly. As the circumstances were rather suspicious Thom is suggesting that Kelly was murdered, and did not commit suicide. Kelly was someone who said that Iraq did not have Weapons of Mass Destruction. Yorke says there are lots more people who hold this view - "there are so many of us that you can't count." |

I'm wondering about the significance of Brighton, in the line "let's drive to Brighton on the weekend". Brighton is known as the gay capital of Britain, and we know that Kele is homosexual or bisexual. What if the song is about growing up, and admitting what you are and not having regrets? Maybe he thinks we would express our owm personalities, and not hide them away. Just a thought. |
