yeah i agree with you that that album sucked. i don't know how they were surviving writing music like that. they hav definitely made up for it now though; don't u think? anyway i just finished helping in VBS at our church(thank goodness it is only a week long. those kids wore me out) and they used this song as one of the theme songs. they ruined it though with hand motions (which is what can be expected with vbs music). i was just really shocked when i realized that they used a skillet song in the program. |

hey i like what u said about how you can take skillet's songs different ways to match your personal situation...but...i am not trying to be picky (or rude or pushy,etc.;^))i just thought i would tell you what i think. when u said u aren't religious, what did u mean?? did u mean that u don't believe in God and Heaven or did u mean that you just don't practice some sort of "religious" act like going to church or pretending that you r better than everyone else. You see i don't claim to be "religious" either but i AM a Christian. some people think u hav to Do something to earn Salvation (those people i call religious). what i hav is different. all u really hav to do to be saved is trust in what Jesus did on the cross for u, tell Him that u r sorry for all of the bad things that u do, and let Him come into your life. sure, church is important but it isn't what saves anybody nor does being a good person. which is a really good thing because we all want to be selfish or do things that we will later regret. even after a person gets saved we still hav a hard time with that. (sorta like the skillet song "Monster" which i love ;^) anyway i know this is pretty long but thanks for reading it anyway. if you want to say something back that would be cool. |

I know that people have said this already...but i will repeat it for good measure...From what i hav heard John Cooper say in many interviews and shows, this song is talking about someone who is going through a rough time in their life and they just want to end it by committing suicide and God is telling that person that they were not a mistake,He will never leave them and that He will help that person through their pain if only they will let Him.
I love this song because it makes MY problems seem so small...i have never had to go through that much pain. it humbles me. i also like it because it reminds me of God's love for me when i feel like everyone hates me (including myself) and that God must wish He had never made me.(i hav never deeply believed that but it crosses my mind quite a bit) anyway...To Skillet: keep on rockin' our faces off!! |
