This song is absolutely brilliant. The words are put together so well and with such intellect. Beautiful promise of restoration in the end. I think the Spirit is rather well portrayed by a lion of flames roaring within the cities. |

I suppose I am a bit bias in favor of this version since I heard it first but I think it is more aggressive towards liking the other person which i really get a kick out of versus the original. At any rate they are both incredible songs. |

The way the song opens comparing himself to the colors that is seen all around his girl makes me think that they like each other so much that they see each other in everything. In just walking around they see each other even in the simplest of things.
"If you cut me I suppose I would bleed, the color of the evening stars." Admitting to being human and then shrugging it off and once again comparing himself to the stars, they see each other in everything. |
