aiden is a great band, and this song is one of their best. in a recent alternative press podcast, wil francis of aiden said that it was about a girl that he had practically grown up with since he was about seven who had moved away when he was 15, and a month later killed herself. he said "what can you do? get a tattoo, write a song... move on." i thought, okay......? then i read the lyrics. the screaming part ("I MISS YOU!") made me feel like crying. i can't begin to imagine the pain that wil was feeling when he wrote that song. |

| this song is extremely powerful. in a recent alternative press podcast, wil francis of aiden explained that it was about a dear friend (who was a girl, not a girlfriend) who moved away from seattle (his hometown) and a month later, committed suicide. they were never romantically involved. he said "what can you do? get a tattoo, right a song, move on." and that's what he did. in reading the lyrics that he wrote about it, i didn't fully understand the song until the screaming part (I MISS YOU!) and then i almost started crying, daring myself to imagine the pain he was in when he wrote this. | |
