| I just heard this song on pandora and I must say this is quite an amazing song. Love Karens singing in it. I think this song is just as it says, thinking back and being sad about the past and the only thing that makes you feel better is just being in that one persons arms. You need that person to stay with you. You want this person to be your prize for making it through all the heartache. I think these lyrics are great because it says so much by saying so little. They are simple, easily relateable for anyone, and gives a deep emotion. Love it :) | |

I absolutely love this song, She Wants Revenge has beautiful lyrics. I can relate to quite a few of their songs, including this one. Here is what I feel this song means. At first, this girl is starting to drift away from her current boyfriend. His feelings were pushing her away. Soon this other guy comes along and sweeps her off her feet. She looks forward to getting to see him every day, and even the slightest touch or a hug seems perfect to her. Especially seeing as thats all she can do since she has a boyfriend already. She breaks up with her boyfriend and doing this makes the new guy no longer the bad guy. So now they are together, and that was the change of plan. Later he seems to start drifting away from her. She sees it and realizes she has to change her plans again, which leads to them having sex, making her believe it will prevent him from leaving her. In the end, it only made matters worse; shes waiting for him to come to her but he isn't because he is "gun-shy" now. So now this has turned into a "prosecution" in a sense. Showing its going to end, even if you try and hope it doesn't. Theres just mixed emotions, "giggles as the tears dry", your laughing even though you just got done crying. He needs attention from her, she needs an answer to her problem. |

i kinda look at the song differently than others ive seen so far. i believe its supposed to take place back in biblical times, the garden of eden. "Sweet berries ready for two ghosts are no different than you. Ghosts are now waiting for you all." talking about this tree thats waiting for adam and eve to eat from. the ghosts are basically what they will be once they eat the fruit/"sweet berries". since then, sin has been passed down to every generation. so, in a sense ghosts are waiting for us all. "Are you... Dreaming! Dreaming the night! Dreaming all right!" basically just dreaming about the whole thing i guess. i think that whole line can be taken pretty literal no matter what the meaning may be. "Do we, do we know, when we fly? When we, when we go, do we die? Where do, where do we go, when we DIE?" this would be adam and eve questioning what happens after they eat the sweet berries. do they leave ("fly") or do they just die. where do they go, what will happen, they just dont know. hence, the name, "question!" when you watch the video to this song, it semms to make alot of sense. the beginning, the boy is walking into the forest (garden of eden), picking the berries and then you see the girl sleeping, "dreaming the night". in her dream it shows her and the boy when they're older. they're argueing, most likely about the consequences of eating the berries. then it switches back to the garden showing the girl picking the berries this time and also taking some from the boy. again back to their arguement, then finally she eats the berries. you can see her grow older as shes eating the berries (the cost of eating these forbidden "sweet berries") afterwards, it shows her get sick (both as an adult now) and you see horsemen riding through the garden. its pretty obvious that they are coming to get adam and eve because of their actions. at the very end, it shows a doctor and a newborn baby. i believe this scene shows that because of the one poor choice made in the garden of eden, sin is now forever passed on to everyone. im very sorry if that didnt make much sense, but hopefully you can can get an idea of what i meant. when you really analyze the lyrics and the video together, it is pretty clear. in the video too, you can use the lyrics to kind of "narrate" whats going on. overall, Question! is my favorite song from my favorite band. its just amazing, it puts me in awe everytime. i love how the song kinda rises with the story when you watch the video with it. at first its kinda soft but eventually turns into an awesome, rockin song. and the singing. just everything! lol :) but that doesnt detract from the rest of their songs, cuz all of their music is amazing. i can go on for days talking about how awesome system of a down is. lol |
