| Scissor Sisters – I Can't Decide Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I don't think there's too much to this song. A generally awful human just wants to have a little fun tonight, decides to pay off people so he can kidnap them with no suspicion, rapes them, tortures them, kills them. Someone stumbles upon the body they forgot to dispose of, and now the killer is spending the night deciding to whether or not to kill this guy, he comes up with a bunch of excuses for his actions, maybe asking the guy who caught him not to go to the police, or maybe he's just making small talk to the unlucky dude. |

| Arctic Monkeys – Balaclava Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Oh, and the whoever said the lyrics are "I'd Much Rather Keep On The Balaclava" before me is correct. | |
| Arctic Monkeys – Balaclava Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Sorry guys, but Alex has already stated that it's about casual sex. I assume the Balaclava (mask) the guy (who is pretty much a bastard) is the mask they use when they have sex, they've never seen each other's faces. He uses that mask not only to hide his face, but his emotions as well, which is why she asks him to take it off at the end, but, the guy being a bastard, rather not (I'd rather keep on the Balaclava) |

| Black Kids – I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
His sister and fellow bandmate wrote the song, and she happens to be a lesbian. All cleared up now, isn't it? |
| Black Kids – I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Everyone's making a big deal about the "girl" part. His sister, and fellow bandmate, wrote the song, and she's a lesbian. |

| OutKast – Ghetto Musick (feat. André 3000) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I thought it was more like "we understand you want to get out of the hood, but the only way you can get out of the hood is pretending like you love the hood". They start selling their musical creativity for a meal ticket, anything they can do, sample the same beats, use the same old, tired "I beat my hoes" approach to music, so they can get out of the hood. |
| OutKast – Gangsta Shit (feat. Slimm Calhoun, BlackOwned C-Bone & T-Mo) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's obviously making fun of "hood niggas". Telling all those posers, "do they really want to know about some gangsta shit?". Which then, Andre tells them what gangsta shit is in the last verse. It reminds me of GhettoMusick, about how they take a anti "hood nigga" approach. |

| Vampire Weekend – One (Blake's Got a New Face) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I hear a song about masturbation. About how "blake" has a new face he likes. And how "billy" is one of his testicles. About pretty girls the protagonist knows nothing about, no substance to them, as far as he knows. Just a girl who makes his dick hard. |
| OK Go – This Too Shall Pass Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It sounds like he's talking about the current presidency. Like "keep doing what you're doing, you'll see you're right soon enough". |
| Blackalicious – Alphabet Aerobics Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Damn. Alliteration has been taken to a whole new level. |
| Bloc Party – Banquet Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think the song is about the supposed "War On Terror", and how it's slowly closing in on civilians. | |
| Maxwell – Bad Habits Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The song sounds more like him talking about heroin addiction than cheating on a girl, no? | |
| Lupe Fiasco – Us Placers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I like how Thom Yorke's sample was ironically tied into the song... "The more you try to erase me, the more that I appear..." is basically the opposite effect that's happening to the personas in the song. | |
| Lupe Fiasco – Us Placers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I actually thought that Pharrel did better than Kanye in this. The second line of Pharrel is basically saying that he's intelligent, but, he's everyone's bitch. Also, the "Serpent" part may be a nod to Lupe Fiasco's "The Cool", in the whole "The Game is the snake that tricked Adam and Eve", part. "You can listen to that serpent, fine, but the earth got gas once it burps it's fire" may be explaining that you can mess with the game, but it will eventually backfire and send you to hell..... | |
| Lupe Fiasco – The Die Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I like how Lupe says "bounty on the chain that's hanging from your neck". It shows that M.Y.H. is The Streets' preferred one at the time, and the chain acts as a "crown" of sorts... And the next one to wear that crown will be "The king of the streets".... Also, the murderer of M.Y.H. prays to God that his assassination goes well....Kind of disturbing.... |
| Lupe Fiasco – The Die Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is really Gemstones at his finest..... | |
| Lupe Fiasco – The Coolest Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Why don't the people who up the lyrics catch the weather puns? | |
| Lupe Fiasco – The Coolest Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think the song just explains M.Y.H's thoughts and actions as he seamlessly progressed into darkness. | |
| Lupe Fiasco – Intruder Alert Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song must really show people how "perception" can change it all.... Is it just me, or does the chorus sound like "true love" around the end? |
| Lupe Fiasco – Little Weapon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It can be interpreted many ways... If you're digging a hole, you're getting deeper, and while you're being "deep", kids are still dying. It can be seen as an endless cycle until we completely stop. It can be seen as the media trying to cover all of the violence in third world countries, trying to "bury" the truth. |
| Lupe Fiasco – Little Weapon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| He's saying that the kid on the game screen (the character the kid is playing) is only slightly older than himself. | |
| Lupe Fiasco – Little Weapon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I wonder, is Lupe demeaning violence in video games, or just analyzing it? | |
| Jurassic 5 – Red Hot Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The song is pretty self-explanatory. But, the first verse is pure WIN. |
| Arctic Monkeys – Settle for a Draw Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think it's about a relationships in general, and how men will never really win a argument, so they should settle for a draw.. About how men can't fight back "They have different rules for men and women." And how women will always have control in a "healthy" relationship "No one's gonna start a revolution, so you better just leave it well alone." |
