I think the journey can also be meant more figuratively speaking. As the singer has to do/achieve something first and he's hoping that in the end they will find eachother again. Because in this point in life there is something else that has to be done first: for once in my life i can say i am right about something i've never been this positively certain i'm leaving So, it doesn't sound as if the singer is sure about them meeting again, but he hopes so, because he loves the person he's singing about. |

I can see both meanings. I do think especially the sentence "But still she paints her heart among the musings of a boy" is relating to the earthly love the girl is so busy with. Because she is so taken by everything in life, she won't falter easy, she be carefull to turn her heart to God. He is asking for her. You can also interpret the song as if the singer is watching a girl, which he loves so much, but she is busy with other things, like another boy. And he is waiting for her, because he has the patience to wait for when she's ready. |

Song about denial. I agree with HeroGarec. If you lie about your love, you could as easily lie about the sky and the sun and all the other things that are obviously true (and any fool could see what's true). Because everyone can see that you love the person and it DID change something in your life. your eyes without expression, there's nothing special in their gaze so why do i spend every night dreaming of the things i'll never miss? Although their also seem to be a sort of exceptance that life goes on, it is difficult not to imagine what could have gone differently. |
