This is clearly about whatever you want it to mean. Homosexuality -- sure. If you're a practicing homosexual. However this is a rather lame and pathetic co-option by the gay community of an extremely hetero song (and movie). Sure Maverick loves Goose and Iceman, but it's a brotherly love, not an erotic one. The real sparks fly between Maverick and Ms. McGillis.
At any rate Kenny brings the full force of his imagination to bear with this song. It's just fantastic. |

Poor souls. This isn't a metaphorical song -- it's writer, Noel Gallagher, honestly feels like he's going to live forever. You know, as in live. Forever. Not in the hearts and minds of others. I suppose if you don't relate to this condition you'll have to pass it off as an obtuse aside. But trust me, it's not. |
