White Town – Your Woman Lyrics 16 years ago
My take on the song is a bit different to what they have said on their website and what others have been saying. I think Im hearing it in a different way to everyone else.

The way I see it is that a middle class guy and a high society girl fell in love, but it didn't work out, due to outside pressures.

I'll break it down into parts.

Just tell me what you've got to say to me,
I've been waiting for so long to hear the truth,
It comes as no surprise at all you see,
So cut the crap and tell me that we're through.

This is the opening verse of the song, and it seems that the girl is going to break it off with him. He seems very negative and the way it is worded seems he has always felt insecrue in the relationship, and always saw this coming.

Now I know your heart, I know your mind,
You don't even know you're being unkind,

She has broken up with him, and what he has always suspected has come true, she did in fact break it off with him. The fact this happened confirms that he now knows her heart and mind (Way she feels and thinks). He even extends his thoughts and actually states that she doesn't even realise she is being unkind.

So much for all your highbrow Marxist ways,
Just use me up and then you walk away,
Boy you can't play me that way.

This little bit suggests that early on when they first met, she was a Marxist and class didn't matter too her. He has obviously said this in a sarcastic and snarky manner. Basically pinning her as a hypocrite.
She just used him up and then walked away, which is the captialist way of doing things.
"Boy you can't play me this way" I feel is her defence against all these accusations. She doesn't deny them or agree.

Well I guess what you say is true,
I could never be the right kind of girl for you,
I could never be your woman.

Now the chorus. This is where people mostly seem to be getting the same sex gender relationships. However the way I see it is quite simply said out to us.

The dude says "Well I guess what YOU say is true"
The dude then repeats what she has said to him in the past. "I could never be the right kin of girl for you, I could never be your woman."

When I saw my best friend yesterday,
She said she never liked you from the start,
Well me, I wish that I could claim the same,
But you always knew you held my heart.

This bit is pretty literal. He has spoken to his best friend (which is a female) and she claims to of never liked her in the first place. He wish's he could claim the same, as he is still in love with her.
He feels that she always had the upper hand and played him by using his heart.

And you're such a charming handsome man,
Now I think I finally understand,

"And you're such a charming handsome man" is him quoting her. And he has had a realisation that she just wanted him due to his looks (lust).

Is it in your genes?, I don't know,
But I'll soon find out, that's for sure,
Why did you play me this way?.

This bit could be talking about a possible pregnancy. Im not sure what will reveal it. Maybe it has something to do weather she will get it aborted. Maybe he wants to see if his son will be like his father or mother.

Well I guess what they say is true,
I could never spend my life with a man like you,
I could never be your woman.

THEY are the females family saying that she could never spend a life with a man like him. In the end she agrees and says I could never be your woman.

Greta song.

Pretty direct at what it's about. I think maybe when he says he is gonna help that this is the song that is the help.

360 – Take Me For Granted Lyrics 16 years ago
This song seems to be about someone who is in a relationship where s/he has been hurt by their significant other. It is hard to tell what has happened, but we do know that s/he is scared to let down their shields and open up to love due to past events.

Corrections are welcome to the lyrics if I fudged anything.

Hilltop Hoods – Fifty in Five Lyrics 16 years ago
This song is called Fifty in Five. Which is basically a rundown from what has happened in the last 50 years spoken in 5 minutes.
The sample was taken from a song written in the 60's (2010 - Tinkerbells Fairydust), which asks the question, what is the world going to be like in the year 2010? 50 years later Hilltop Hoods gave them that reply.

Hilltop Hoods – What The Seasons Change Lyrics 16 years ago
Nah it's called 'What the Seasons Change', from the 'Left Foot, Right Foot' album.

And yeah whole song is pretty obvious what it is about. Similar story song by Pressure would be 'Stopping All Stations'. Different story but conveys a strong message.
