| Taylor Swift – Long Live Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song reminds me of Narnia... is that only me? Good song though :) | |
| Owl City – To the Sky Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
i think the song is a journey, starting off being out of your depth, being "shipwrecked in a sea of faces, there's a dreamy world up here", adding to the surrealism. i think that then it moves on into having almost a guardian angel looking out for you, letting you know that "there's more to this brave adventure, than you'd ever believe". then the chorus is about embracing that new found freedom, using the metaphor of finding your wings. the second verse is i suppose about the limits of your new found freedom, saying to use it to extents but dont abuse your power.it goes on to being wonderstruck about all the things you can now do and see. its almost a coming of age song, like getting your L's or turning 18 or 21 or however old you have to be to drink wherever you are. it could be the start or end of school, anything significant. one of my favourite songs also :) |

| Pink – Dear Mr. President (feat. Indigo Girls) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
To everyone who says that P!nk is a hypocrite cos she doesn't know hard work etc.... 1. The music industry IS hard work. it is incredibly difficult to shelter your life from the press, to be always looking good, to write songs like this with a message etc., and although you may not see it, it's true. 2. She never says she is singing from her own perspective. she is using her position in the public eye to help those who are forgotten to be noticed. she is getting the attention of the president and parliament, letting them know that people are suffering and need help. Just my view :) and I'm from Australia, and I think you could be saying 'Dear Miss Prime Minister' and it would also be true. another song with a similar meaning, if you are interested, is 'The sea is rising' by Bliss n Eso. |

| Florence + the Machine – Kiss with a Fist Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I think this song has a broader meaning as well, as long as you are passionate about something it doesnt matter if it is strong love or strong hate, as long as there is that feeling, that emotion there. | |
| CeeLo Green – Forget You Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Well, I am taking this as much from the video as from teh song, I think it is about a girl who always gets his heart broken. everyone always chooses someone else over him, and he gets tired of it all the time. By the time he reaches adulthood, he is the one getting attention, and his former crushes aren't doing as well. It's a message of sticking to something, not judging people and giving things a chance, set to a nice retro beat. | |
| Paul Kelly – How To Make Gravy Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
wow, this song is amazing. I'm fifteen now, and have been listening to Paul Kelly my whole life. whenever we go on a car trip, we always have songs from the south on. And this means just that little bit more, seeing as my mum's name is Rita and my dad always sings it out loud... As for the meaning, I think you can take it literally, a man being in prison and not being there for Christmas, or you can take it figuratively. Maybe something has happened, and he can't be there for Christmas. |

| Lady GaGa – Scheiße Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Lady Gaga is amazing, and not only because she is an american singer singing in German with a French accent. As for the meaning, i think it is about trying so hard to impress someone, then having them reject you, so your left feeling down and almost regretful that you tried (hence the name of the song - scheisse, meaning shit or dammit) |

| Lady GaGa – Judas Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Does anyone else think that the "In the most Biblical sense I am beyond repentance Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind But in the cultural sense I just speak in future tense Judas kiss me if offenced or wear ear condom next time" sounds a lot like 'ich bin mir absolut klar ich tragen den namen monster" bit from Scheisse? just my opinion, but this song reminds me of a few of her other songs, not judging it in any way, its a beautiful song from and inspirational singer. |

| Tinie Tempah – Written in the Stars Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| @janeaparis1 I agreee with you, but he is in no way uneducated. He got 10 GCSE's and two A-levels. | |
| Lady GaGa – Alejandro Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i think that its about Alejandro, a boy she has known since she was little, but after they tried a relationship and it didn't work, she tried to move on but Alejandro wouldn't let her. Roberto and Fernando could be other failed relationships that wouldn't let her move on. I think it is about being able to move on when the ones you used to love are pulling you back | |
| Brian Mcfadden – Twisted Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| to me, this song is about someone who has been through alcohol and drug addictions, and has found someone to hgelp him fight through it, and how he feels like a better person just knowing them. | |
| Olivia Newton-John – Physical Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| haha the Sue Sylvester 'Glee' version is so funny :) is there anything she can't do (except be nice the the glee club...) | |
| Paramore – Decode Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Adding to that- 'how did we get here? i used to know you so well' could also being referring to the growing gap between bella and charlie- they used to live together, and know each other well, but then bella moved, so they are in a totally different situation. |

| Paramore – Decode Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
OMG I love this song too!!! i admit, i only heard about paramore last year but now they are my fave band! i think this song is about how bella changes when she finds out that edward is a vampire- 'how did we get here i used to know you so well' she thinks she is finally starting to understand him, but then she slowly realises he isn't human. in the twilight director's notebook, it says how bella changes from being tomboy to girly-girl. i think this song shows that. it also shows how bella realises he is a vampire, but he keeps his mouth shut- The truth is hiding in your eyes And it's hanging on your tongue Just boiling in my blood But you think that I can't see What kind of man that you are If you're a man at all Well, I will figure this one out On my own his eyes change colour, and she notices he is having trouble not telling her he says 'you're like my own, personal brand of herowin' he hopes she isn't noticeing these things he is a vampire so not a man at all she decides to buy a book to find out more about what he could be it really is a coded message about the movie - all you have to do is 'decode' it |

| Jimmy Eat World – Let It Happen Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| .the lyrics are actually right- i looked in the lyric book hat came with 'chase this light'. maybe you should try to hear something different and you will, instead of convincing yourself that you are hearing something that is not there. | |
| Hilary Duff – Come Clean Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Well if you were a 16- or 17-year-old girl, what would you want to sing about? the environment, or someone you love? i know what i would pick. | |
