Sonny & Cher – Baby Don't Go Lyrics 4 years ago
I love how genuine and simple this song is, you can clearly imagine everything playing out.

You feel sorry for him and yet her too.

I hope the snowflakes don’t trip and fall while running to the closest safe house after hearing this song.

Aerosmith – Walk This Way Lyrics 5 years ago
This is Tyler singing Rap before it was Rap, great song, great lyrics and a great album.

Get your wings, Toys in the attic and Rocks were the best 3 albums in a row from any band that I can remember, just awesome.

Aerosmith – Back In The Saddle Lyrics 5 years ago
Rocks to me was Aerosmith's pinnacle, every album yp to and including this one were better than the last and that's why the anticipation for Rocks was off the hook.

I remember being on the subway late at night and reading Rolling Stone, at the top left corner it said "Rocks Out", and I ran to the record store the next day.

Rocks was what I used to call an acid album because it sounded so much better, I'm sure it was produced with LSD in mind.

Anyway, with Back in the saddle, I have always imagined a sado-masochistic cowboy riding into town by the light of the moon and looking for a slaoon whorehouse where he can spend time in the racks and get his rocks off.

They peaked with Rocks and they were never the same, in my opinion, but they gave us a few awesome albums that I'll never forget.

I remember the anticipation of this album’s release, it was a year after another great album of theirs called “Toys in the attic” and before that “Get your wings“, everyone was waiting.

I remember listening to it for the first 1st time Like it was yesterday and I remember when it was over I was left wanting more, not only because it was so short but also because it was so good. This was clearly Aerosmith at therapy, at least it was to me.

Anyway, I’m in agreement that he was a country boy who moved to the city, Although at one point he says “Gotta get back to the real nitty-gritty“, which makes me think of speed and urban life.

I’ve texted my boys many times saying “Ma she’s a cookin, got da eats on da table” and they laugh.

Great album from a great band at their peak.

Eric Clapton – Tulsa Time Lyrics 8 years ago
Wonderful song about a musician who keeps leaving home trying to make it in the music business.

He's tried many times, hence "My momma called me crazy. My baby said I'm lazy. Gonna show em all this time"

He feels he did a little better this time with "I really had a flash this time" and then realizes he has nothing to lose with "I had no business leaving, Ain't nobody would be grieving, Seeing I'm on Tulsa time" and that he can always go home and try another time.

@[TYFTM:19515] There were many of these types of songs back in the day that sounded happy, but were actually sad. Ship Of Fools by The Doors and Born In The USA by Springsteen come to mind.

He's singing about a better world, a safe, calm and serene place.

Not the world we know.

This was written at a time when people (women) weren't so sensitive.

Words like "I'd rather see you dead with a rope around your neck, or see you paralyzed in both of your thighs" just wouldn't cut it today. :)

Aerosmith – Combination Lyrics 16 years ago
I don't think "Speedball" would have worked for a title in 1976, hence the title "Combination". It's the same "combination" that killed John Belushi in 1982.

Thank God the "Toxic Twins", Joe and Steven, made it through those times.

The "key to it all" was obviously found while on the combination and unfortunently, doesn't exist in reality, lol.

Rocks was a hell of an album, made at the bands peak, just before the meltdown.

We'll never see anything like it agin, in my opinion, no way.
