I got a chance to talk with the Schwab after the show last night and I told him this song had my favorite lyrics of any Project song. I said, it's a goodbye song to the devil, right? He chuckled and said, it is, but not the devil you're thinking. The song is actually about a crooked record exec, who basically was the devil. I asked, was it someone from Atlantic (cause I know they had problems when Truthless Heroes didn't turn out like Atlantic hoped)? He said no, and that the exec would remain unnamed. I said, that's fine with me cause I'm sure I wouldn't know him anyway. So I guess each of us could take this song personally to be about anyone who's tormenting us. For me, I like to picture this song as a judgment day goodbye to the devil. |

Hey guys, I asked Schwab about this at the show last night. I asked, is this song about sex? Cause that's what it sounds like. He said, haha no, it's about the euphoria of being on stage at a show. I guess the show is the "sonic revelry" and tour life is the "melancholy sadness and manic extreme." Maybe the circuitry being the sound system? |

I talked to the Schwab after the Chicago show of the Scream the Prayer Tour last night. My guess was that the 5-letter word is Stomp, just because that seems like the obvious choice. However, Schwab says that the word is Death and that the song is about Long Beach, CA. |
