this song is talking about how he is tired of the way his life is right now and he just wants a fresh start in a fresh year. he is desperately hoping that the next year will be better and he will find the perfect girl in california. what i think is kind of sad is that the majority of chase's songs are about how he longs to be in california. but i live here and it really isnt this magical place he sings about. he has this fantastic, unrealistic view of cali, and im afraid if he actually believes what he sings about that cali will be a huge let down. but anyways, i love chase just the same and i love all of his songs :) |

basically this song is about a long distance relationship, they both miss each other and the girl is having a hard time with it, but he is trying to reasure her that one day they will be together and live together and get married. they say "the worst part is always heading home" when they live in two seperate places, but he says "the best part is always heading home" when they will be living in the same home. i love this song and i love chase coy (: |
