"Shootin' you straight" sounds right to me. He's just saying he's a straight shooter, not blowing smoke, no games. He's not going to lie and tell her he can stay around more than just the one night. He's just asking that she be straight with him too. |

The first time I heard this song, I pictured the Statue of Liberty singing it. Makes a lot of sense this way, and you really don't have to think as deep as some of you are. Can't believe it took until recently for anyone to say it. I think 'evasive truth' is on drugs. |
