I think this song is about Bipolar and Schizophrenia. Via "I found my friends there in my head." Also they perscribed lithium to Kurt because he was Bipolar and schizophrenic. Or that could be metaphoric for hes depresssed and thinks he had no friends except for Boddah his imaginary friend. but he considered Dave And Krist to be his best friends though... |

The song is about molestation but its not about the band molesting "Marcy" its about someone hangin at the playground kidnapping and molesting them. they lure them with candy and kidnap them. it also mentions downtown were some kids hang out. Its not about the band molesting anyone. Just because Nirvana sang Polly about a rape victim doesnt mean they raped polly. |

I think its about bullying and childhood angst. Via his aunt mary dieing, kids calling his dad gay and his mom a whore, Teasing him because hes good in school. Hence th name Saint Joe On The School Bus. Also they tease him on the school bus because children think the bus is a safe haven. they think they can get away with anything. I think he was sad that his aunt mary died because he told his Aunt Mary about the kids bullying him. |
