It means they don't care what other people think about their playing. They just care what they think about their own playing. |

| Radiohead – Everything in Its Right Place Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Yeah. The took what they though were the better songs, put them on Kid A, took what didn't go on Kid A and put it on Amnesiac. Which totally blows my mind because they put the throwaways on Amnesiac and it's still an awesome, awesome album. | |

Well, this song sucks, but I'm not gonna talk about that. I'm gonna talk about Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. A7x took so much from that book for this song (i.e. "he who makes a beast of himself...", "too weird to live, to rare to die", the title, etc.) and they don't say anything about it in interviews or anything. So we have kids having no idea who Hunter Thompson is (RIP) adn thinking that this song and the lyrics and video are so awesome and orignal. And it kinda pisses me off. |

| Yeah, growing up was the same for me. When my turned me onto Dylan when I was around eigt, I was awe-struck. Blonde On Blonde was my favorite album ever. Still is. | |

A beautiful, beautiful song by a beautiful, beautiful group. Damn you Chatch 22! The song's about two kids living in the 60's and going to out live their lives. But one of them soon realizes that they were just naiive kids and made a mistake. Once again, b-e-a-utiful. |

Yeah, he defiantly doesn't say "in time". Yeah, Jupiter is one of the best albums of the year, along with the Passion Pit album and Grand by Matt and Kim. |

| R.E.M. – Nightswimming Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| In their Athens, GA days, before they got big, everyone would go get naked, and swim in a random pond or lake. It's late Augest and Michael Stipe is recalling how beautiful nightswimming was ; more beautiful then two moons "side by side in orbit around the fairest sun". (my favorite line in the whole song) | |
| R.E.M. – The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
It's about drugs (probaby herion, since that was a big issue in the 90's). The first verse is about people trying to help a druggie and the druggie totally ignoring them. "This here is the place I will be staying" means that the druggie is going to keep using. The rest of the verse is about the user ignoring the people trying to help. The second verse is about the injection spot and the effects of the drug. "There are scratches all around the coin slot" means track marks. "But this machine can only swallow money" means herion takes your life and money and doesn't give anything back. The fourth verse: "The cat in the hat came back, wrecked a lot of havoc on the way, always had a smile and a reason to pretend." means the user made everyone else feel bad and ended up wrecking things between them. And "The sidewinder sleeps on his back" means he's dead. That's what I took out of it. It is Michael Stipe though, so I obviously could be wrong. |

| Jeff Buckley – Lover, You Should've Come Over Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Listen, it's a great song. I truly do agree. But why(!) did you have to put the unlike the pop/hiphop...part in there? Just about everyone that likes Jeff BUckley doesn't like the new pop stuff coming out. All I'm saying is there was no reason to complain about new bad music coming out. |

| Bob Dylan – Ballad of a Thin Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This song's about homosexuality. Seriously: "He hands you a bone", "With a pencil in your hand", "A one-eyed midget" "Well, the sword swallower, he comes up to you and he kneels." "Here's your throat back / thanks for the loan." "Give me some milk or else go home." "He clicks his high heels." And the song's about people that are homophobic: "How does it feel to be such a freak;" "There ought to be a law / against you comin' around. |

| Minus the Bear – Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This song, and almost all Minus The Bear songs, remind me *a lot* of Death Cab. I think this song is about going to a foreign country and having not a care in the world about what goes on; about wanting to just have a good time and being worry-free. |

For all you people that are saying that this about the music industry and fans, you are (respectfully) wrong. It's about God/religion. "You know I'm not dead." - he feels he(God) has forgotten him. "Now, you know where I've been" - God is all knowing "As you sleep / torn I am" - God has forgotten him and Billy's hurt "And through it all / into us all you move" - God's in everyone "Far below / the creatures scream" - Hell "A god machine, begging to tear us out" - The Devil That's what I take out of it. |
