The sad thing is that this song will always remind me of my father after my parents divorced. It is so melancholy. I used to sit by the window as a child looking out to the rainy day and would think of him. |

This song reminds me of my current situation. I was a dating a guy who I gave my trust to and then he promptly dumped me soon after. I feel like I can never love.. |

As with many songs by MG, it usually revolves around his view and response to life.. apparently MG was going through mental health issues around the time this album was made, it's his cynical view of life, it's bitter, he's that kinda guy.. and I love him for it |

I love the line that reads "who took the time to fold your clothes," it speaks to me about someone really loving those girls, and that they're worthy people. It brings humanity to them. |

This song makes me think it's about a young woman in a relationship with an older man. It's as if she loves him, but not with her whole being, rather because he offers her some kind of security or convenience. |

"Was a great mistake
But how could you have known
The temperature, the distance of the sun"
These lines mean so much to me. |

very interesting. to me it's as if the character is holding a lot of pain and hurt, and then going on to hurt others as well.. to be saved by the light, is the last refuge |

I will always remember this song because a family friend passed on and my sister loved David Usher during his little songs era. This song makes me think of our friend every time I hear it. I will always remember you, you were such a kind soul... always thought about my stay and how you could accomodate me. Thanks for setting up the nintendo for me ! Love |
