what a great song. I think its about getting caught up in the thrill of things. going along with the flow, having all the dangerous fun. you realize people will join you along the way and its like the paranoia that you're unsure if you've gone too far. when it talks about it getting crowded and driving in the sand..he heard the rain was coming.. i dont know..to me when he uses "the chills" and "the good man name bill" i think its describing the feelings of slight paranoia about being lost or some what scared in a lifestyle/situation/event that is unusual or you feel unsure of. favorite line.."They've come so far I've lived this long at least I must just go and say hello" |
