Yeah, as much as I usually balk at the seemingly automatic "it's about Christianity" reaction to Thrice's lyrics, I do agree with the peanut gallery. Heaven was the first thought to cross my mind when I read the lyrics. And I'm not even religious, hahaha. :] |

This song reminds me a lot of "The Mercy Seat" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Particularly the "wood and wire." An homage, perhaps? Both are good songs. :) |

It sounds more like he's saying "I swear it FLOWS through me." But I'm not sure... his singing - though beautiful - makes lyrics not to easy to distinguish.
Anyways, it's a gorgeous song! :) I hope it make the final cut... I'm so stoked about the new album! It's about damn time, hahahaha! :D |

An agnostic's anthem... :) I love it! This album as a whole is fantastic - their best, in my opinion. They really did do a killer job. |
