A couple things: he says "girl" the first couple of times, then "Go" the last time, because the relationship is over.
This song pretty much sums up every summer fling. You fall for each other, then once the conversation dies, it's over. Except the guy wants the girl to make the first move. Pretty straightforward stuff. |

I always thought that Colin was being held captive by his mother during this song, and they were singing it together although far apart. That is a perfect setup for the next track, when William makes the deal with his mother for one night with his Margaret. |
