At first look this song seems depressing and suicidal, and i think that many people will think like that, but on closer look at lyrics its tottaly opposite. This part of the song reveals true meaning of whole song: 'Only once you lose once you no longer feel fear will you know what you live for' This song is actually very optimistic... message is that we shouldnt be afraind of anything in life... especially of death, ultimate fear for many people. Death is normal like life it self...nothing to be afraid of. And once we realise that, and once we stop looking at death like something unwelcome we will be finally and 100% free souls....free in our mind...free of all apprehensions. |

Very emotional.... meaning is obvious... epic love song I personaly love this part: 'Pain burns deep inside my chest I am lost, you knew it' This part 'i am lost, you knew it' especially have deep meaning for me... talking about how mallicious love can be, love is never 100% pure...love has its dark side also... |

Well i can only say what is this songs meaning for me, cuz i sure dont know what was in Tims head when he was writing lyrics, is it about saving nature, is it about woman, only he knows that... For me this song is about woman... 'In fields where nothing grew but weeds I found a flower at my feet' I love this part...i felt exactly the same .. but only once in my life..right person is so hard to find, most of my life i really feel like im walking through a field full of weeds, and then if you are lucky enough you meet right person...soul mate. But then in part of the song when he sings 'Inside my hands these petals browned Dried up, fallen to the ground' For me this part means that every love has its ending..sad but true. And in the end of the song when he sings 'All because of you I believe in angels Not the kind with wings No, not the kind with halos The kind that bring you home' This part for me means that even though he lost her, being with her showed him that soul mate can be found in life... and hope lies there. So in the end ... song is very optimistic, with a good reason to keep living! |

Beside 'good left undone' this is my favorite rise against song....lyrics are incredible... so emotional... when he sings 'and if strength is born from heartbreak, then mountains I could move, and if walls could speak I'd pray that they would tell me what to do'.... i can tottaly relate to that.... Rise Against...congrats...u nailed it guys! |
