I think you're absolutely right up until the last phrase. I feel maybe the test subject escaped, or was freed (From civil rights activists maybe? :P) And he's being hunted, because normal people can sleep at night, but this thing is trapped "in a vision of hell" |

I feel it's just that Man has shyed (spelling?) away from the true creators and is worshipping his (man's) creations. Much as we as a society worship technology, rather then religious faith. |
