Even though I knew the song was called "Souverian" I always assumed he was saying "so very young" every time. It took me forever to make that connection.
I love how Mr. Bird is a master of phonics and word play. Honestly, I have no idea what 90% of his songs actually mean - the beauty is in the sonics.. |

I live on the Big Island of Hawaii. And I have to make a correction here... The line "Maui and the big guy, aka Hawaii." is definitely supposed to be "Maui and the Big Island, aka Hawaii." The Big Island's real name is Hawaii. It's called the Big Island to avoid confusion with the state name. |
