| The Life And Times – The Politics of Driving Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Here are the official lyrics. I know the specific wording is different than as it is said in the song, but I thought I'd put it here anyway: When the race was done the winners all convened in a circle. The crowd would not go home. They partied through the day. They just had to stay to celebrate. But soon the moment came, and the people had to leave for jobs and deadlines. The winners' lives were blessed. No obligation stress, just the deep blue sea. But the victory would fade. The winners felt their days had no meaning. And so they'd kneel and pray for something new to chase into the deep blue sea. Drunk with victory they sped around the sea in a circle. We cheered them from the shore. But we love them even more when they don't return. When the race was done the winners all convened in a circle. And we would not go home. We partied through the day. We just had to stay to celebrate. |

| Steven Wilson – Thank U (Alanis Morissette cover) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Steven Wilson changed the lyrics for the line "how 'bout them transparent dangling carrots" to "how 'bout changing a line 'cause it don't makes sense." | |

| No one has commented on this song yet? This is in my top 3 picks of this album. So good. | |
| Porcupine Tree – The Incident Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| We all know Fear Of A Blank Planet was influenced by Bret Easton Ellis' novel, Lunar Park. And we all know that The Incident was inspired by the car crash Steven drove past. I'm wondering though if parts of Ellis bled through into this album too. What made me think about this was the "I want to be loved" part of this track. In American Psycho, in the middle of dismembering a victim, Patrick Bateman breaks down, sobbing that he "just wants to be loved". Anyway, I just noticed that and thought that it was interesting. | |
