if you eat meat then fine for you, but how can you listen to this song and not want to be a vegetarian? I never thought about becoming one untill i heard this song. Now when i look at any kind of meat, especially whole chickens or turkeys, it is simply disgusting. Morrissey had every right to write this song. |

When he says "i always thought a limousine was somthing to be laughed at" then he changes it to "i never thought i was just something to be laughed at" he is compairing himself to a limousine. Why? I think it is because limousine are ridiculous, unessesary, and for people who like to show off. and now he is seeing someone (bobby?) react to him that way, as a ridiclous, unessesary artist/musican who shows off with his stage apperance and his music. and this upset kevin because he never thought of himself like that. And he is letting that one kids impression of him get to him. |

I cannot listen to this song without becomming depressed. It remindes me of a realtionship that has no hope. "As we struggle against some impossible current" "Is happiness even possible?" And when you think about how kevin must hav felt, going through his divorce, his problems with accepting he has a child, his whole breakdown, you really can see why he feels like there is no hope. He probably thinks his depression is such a burden on him and his family that he is telling his wife, you can leave me whenever you want. When i heard the line "you're just some faggy girl and i need a lover with soul power" it made me think he was dissing lesbians. I mean just because a girl likes another girl doesnt mean she ain't got no soul power. But what do i know, i'm a guy... lol. However, when i really thought about it, i reaized that he might be singing about a girl he once dated, and when he saw her kissing another girl, he must hve been jealous or confused.
