I love this song for all of the reasons that you have both stated and well. I also love you guys for renewing, what was becoming, my increasingly pessimistic outlook on most individuals' cognitive abilities. It is refreshing to see people 'get it' when so many others fail miserably. |

Seriously? This song about drugs? To those of you who made comments regarding this song being about drugs...you have obviously not known fear, or love, or uncertainty, or rejection, or been confused. The idea that a person really takes I'm a cloud and turns the metaphor into anything related to weed smoke makes me concerned for peoples diminished cognitive abilities. So please, by all means, go smoke some more.

In 2001, Boy Hits Car released their second self-titled album, which includes their hit single I'M A CLOUD. Already written in 1997, this song is about "a young man's struggle with who he is and where he fits in the world, and the fear of bringing another person into his uncertain life. Hey ****tards the song is about David Bowie selling the world on Ziggy Stardust. Maybe even trying to sell himself...Either way he struggled with his identity for years and expressed himself through his songs. On the album cover, Bowie is wearing a dress.
