I think it means that one day he just woke up wishing he could change everything. He felt like everything he said was hurtful. No one knew he was a mess and sad/depressed. He played it off to his friends but by them not realizing he was sad made him even worse because even his closest friends didn't see. He thinks he needs therapy but he [possibly] had it before [when his brother died] and it didn't help. He thinks that facing his problems will just bring up all the misery and he wants to avoid that. He doesn't think he matters or made a difference in the world. That's pretty much what I gathered... but it could also be about his brother. I agree with whoever said that. |
