BIG DAUGHTRY FAN!! BY FAR HIS BEST SONG YET!! MY FAVORTIE!! it's definitely a/b a relationship/marriage. When I heard this for the 1st time on American Idol I had to immediately download it. The "u & I will be a tough act to follow" & "don't be surprised I won't be here tomorrow-can't believe that I stayed til today" lines are really hit home for me. |

I think that this song has a lot to do w/ Courtney Love. I think it is his way of talking a/b him, the way he thinks, his past, his drug addiction, & how he looked & felt a/b his own life-CONFUSED!! I think some people can relate to this song from their own personal experiences also.
MY FAVORITE NIRVANA SONG!! His Bio is great!! I think people need to read it it helped me understand him & his music!! |

I think it means somebody whose thoughts(institution) are just so overwhelming to them & that they don't even make sense to themselves & that they are tryin to figure out just "what's goin on" in their lives or even in general. so "screaming to the top of my lungs" is trying to get those overwhelming, frustrating thoughts out of mind, but don't know how to or just can't. The "hill of hope for a destination" is trying to find that one moment in their lives that something that actually makes sense to them or might even make them happy!! Basically being misunderstood mind-wise & by their own thoughts. |
