| Towards the end, he changes the lyrics a bit and says "I don't believe it's sad", instead of saying bad as in the rest of the song. | |

| Also, my interpretation, sort of neglects the first para, except perhaps as an introduction to her assailant. That is the best I can do for the first para. | |

I did not have the patience to go through all the 229 comments, so I will just throw my 2 cents in. I don't think the protagonist of this song is male. For reasons I will elaborate, I think it is the "young kentucky girl". I believe the song is about rape. I could be wrong, but it makes more sense than being about self-hurt. "Blood loss in a bathroom stall Southern girl with a scarlet drawl" I think the girl leaves her comfort zone, her parents, her home and leaves for "greener pastures" and while still vulnerable, trusts a guy who takes advantage of her naivety. There is one assumption I do make (which I realize) which is, that the song isn't narrative, so the timelines bend, so as she leaves the bathroom stall, drenched in her own blood, she recalls leaving home, etc. I just came up with this, and I would really appreciate some constructive criticism, rather than "You are a retard" comments. Those are welcome too, though. |

| I don't think this is Mustaine singing about Burton, simply because it is sung from the point of view of the person that is dying. Hence I think you are actually right, inspite of all the name calling. | |
