Well of course the shooting color through your veins thing is a drug reference, but it's not entirely about that. I think it's mostly about becoming happier together, and making each other happy: "I'll blend up that rainbow above you and shoot it through your veins Cuz your heart has a lack of color" - he wants to make the other person happier by adding color to their life. "we should've known That we'd grow up sooner or later cuz we wasted all our free time alone" - I see this as being about finally being together after having been "wasting time alone" when they could've been together. |
