This song is about being able to move on and get out of a rut. We can't be satisfied to just let life pass us by, hoping that something might happen. We have to make our own way. Sometimes we have to make a drastic change, perhaps "running away" from those that are holding us back from our dreams. The theme of hope is very consistent on the whole record, but on this song in particular. It's a very motivational song, my favorite Ours song. |

This song is about someone that really wishes she knew how to love. She's been hurt before (very badly, and quite possibly by the same person the song is written for), but she's determined to get it right this time; she just don't know how to do it. It all just seems so hopeless, but she's not going to give up easily. It's a beautiful song, because it's a place many of us have been before. Easily my favourite Serena Ryder song. |
