| I think all of you are missing the point of the lyrics. When you watch the dvd some kind of monster, it was spelled out quite frankly that James had an alcohol problem. After rehab is when he wrote the song. He is looking back at his life and if he kept going on the way he did with the alcohol it would have resulted in a kind of death that he did not want. I think he is singing more than literally dying. Death could mean losing his family and everything that he holds dear in his life. Or it could mean that he doesnt want to die because of an alcohol addiction. | |
