Its amazing how diverse this new album is. I cannot see how this song is written for the fans, it only makes sense to me if it is written about camilla and taylor. Dont get me wrong, i have nothing against joe, camilla, or taylor. however, i believe joe is a bit immature about this. Let me explain...taylor confirmed that the only song that was about joe was forever and always. if you read the lyrics, it is only expressing her side of the breakup. i dont think she was bashing on joe in any way during that song. In the beginning of much better, it is made pretty clear that he did not care about taylor in any way. (the line, "im not bitter") That is the part that i think is immature. But this song is great, and what is said in this song is not a big deal. There could have been other things joe could have written about that was way worse. Its not like the entire song was written about taylor anyway, it was just in the beginning. I think its great that he is saying that camilla is much better, he is expressing that he has finally found someone who gets him. |

This song is beautifully written. A racetrack is a nice comparison to life. But the meaning is still a bit fuzzy to me. In a nutshell, I think this song is about a fight between a guy and a girl that never gets resolved. (Which is explained in the bridge)
This might be a bit off, but I think the girl is used to being "perfect" all of the time, and then she realized that she cant have it together every second of every day. She might be scared of making mistakes. The way she might cope with her problems is by "running away", or going really fast on a race track. For example, "At your speed, they cannot follow" I guess the guy is trying to comfort her in saying that she might make a lot of mistakes through life, or fall off of the race track, which is ok. But until she sees the bigger picture and turns right, she will never make it to the finish line (her boyfriend). The guy is probably stepping back and waiting for her to realize what is truely important in her life.
lol, I hope that made sense... XD |

This has to be one of the most beautiful songs by the Jonas Brothers. Out of all of their songs, this is my favourite. When I first heard this song, I had no idea what it was about. But the comments above do a great job of explaining it.
Nick is known to perform half of this song along with A Little Bit Longer. Both of these songs make him very emotional. He made a speech saying that in the past year, he learned to see things plain and simple, or black and white. He didnt want to get caught up in complicated details (colour). I think this song was inspired by a fight with the girl he loves. "Sometimes a fight is better black and white"
Although I am not really a fan of hers, I think it might be written about Miley Cyrus. The two have history. She is looked at as a "colourful" and loud girl. She probably does think that the World revolves around her soul. The media points out her black and white flaws. Thus, him comforting her saying, "Don't let em get inside of your head."
I dont know, it was just an idea. Great song though........ |
