There is no need to talk, so they should keep their lips closed tight. "Sleep underground tonight Sleep underground tonight Sleep underground tonight If you were meant to save me If you were meant to save me Then I didn't realize 'till now 'Cause this is just for you and I alone This is just for you and I alone This is just for you and I alone This is just for you and I alone" He tells this person to "sleep underground" or to hide away from their problems and rest. the "if you were meant to save me" part seems to indicate a strong bond between the two. "This is just for you and I alone" is meant to suggest that this moment is just for them to enjoy. |

I think this song is about always questioning every move we make. Anthony likes to write music that his fans can take away some kind of understanding that they are not alone in the world. He like to use his music to reach out. Everyway is about questioning everything we do. "I will find a different way to say Your gonna have to change everything you made Your going to have to reword every metaphor you've used So that people who are hearing are confused If that's the most important thing you do Detail every ounce of pain that you went through Make sure you leave something down to show the way back" He references having trouble writing music, wanting to find different ways to write music and to express his thoughts. He talks about using your pain and angst to set a trail for people to follow, so that they can understand the feelings he puts into his music. This will allow people to find the message of the song. "I would find a different way to go There's no signs in life to guide you on that road And if its the most important thing you'll say Make sure they understand" This verse makes follows the trail of feeling like your wrong and that you may feel there are no signs pointing you in the right direction. If it is important to you, make sure the people closest to you (no matter how much they disagree) understand that you feel it's best for you. "Every way you wonder if you're wrong Inaccurate and in precise There is no gift without a price I'm so mistaken, lost my direction My souls been shaken" In everyway people always question their choises and decisions they make in life, feeling like they regret making those choices. Maybe by doing what they feel will make them happy, that they will actually be miserable. There are no gifts or talents that do not come with a price or sacrifice. You may feel mistaken or without direction. |

I think this song is Anthony's way of addressing how we can hate people without knowing anything about them, and saying that "For all the reasons we could think to hate you, we want to make it right." He says pretty clearly that we are all the same, and we all go through the same problems at some point in our life. when he says "Just say you'll keep your mind on everyone..", he wants us to think about others and to keep in mind how they are people just like you are. The chorus is the tying message; the first line, "And take a last long look at where you are", is almost a departure from your old stereotypes. the second line, "Allowance received and I cant believe there's anything like this", is his entrance into this new way of seeing things, and how amazed he is with how they live. the last lines, "'cause if youre half as good as you say you are, then you can prove anything to us", is a challenge to open your mind and show people who you really are and give the worlds your gifts, so they can be passed on as the interlude says. The lines "Stare like you'll stay alive, if you stare like you're there" means we should always be aware of other people and not the walking dead, and to acknowledge other peoples existence as it really is, not based on our stereotypes. |

This song seems to be about having to deal with someone who treats you like dirt. they ruin your self esteem. The things you never say to the people who need to here the truth. You don't wanna hear what they have to say anymore. It makes you feel like less of a human being.
