Im gonna put it blunt. Its about friendship. She feels undeserving of this friend. and really wants to be there for them and help them, but feels like their doing everything wrong. And because she cant personally open up to her friend it builds this wall between them but she still wants to be the one her friend goes to when they're in need. |

I dont have anything against religious opinions. in fact i find them inspiring but i just dont see it with this song... I see where your going with the kidney transplant perspective. Everyones gonna take this song differently because it truly is passionate, sad, loving and fantastic in all honesty...
What i got from it was that hes at a really really difficult place in his life which could be the kidney transplant i guess. but i see it as a more mental thing. Hes finding it hard to grab hold of something to keep him in this world. Hes losing his will to live. when he meets someone. Even just for a moment and they are what keeps him going. gives him hope. So hes working harder to keep living and loving and caring . |

Okay this is what i got from the song. probably wrong but oh well .. :)
I agree with it maybe being that a friend of his died but if you've read the book the Gargoyle it might mean something slightly different to you. I thought it was maybe an intense relationship where the guy wasnt in a very good place in his life and a woman/girl was looking after him but hes not willing to get better. he feels lost and shes done all she can to try and save him so what else is she to do ? could be to do with a drug addict etc. but please read The Gargoyle - Andrew Davidson. its an incredibly written book and i think it connects with this song.... |
