This is such a romantic song...I don't know exactly what it's supposed to mean but for me; it's about a guy and a girl, and there are feelings between them , then for some reason he has to go away (perhaps to find himself?) and decides to tell her how he feels before doing so. "You were so happy, I could not help but cry". He hopes that she'll still love him when he returns--that's his "home", her love. Incredible song. |

Wow, can't believe no one's commented on this yet! This is my favourite Plaskett song by far. To me, it's about a person who finds themselves stumbling upon someone unexpectedly, and that initial meeting makes a deep impression on the other. The narrator of the song, however, doesn't believe in love or themselves and doesn't take it seriously; (I broke your heart Just messing around This non-believer). Eventually, though, the narrator does realize he loves (I opened up my eyes to find), but can't do it properly. He still can't take anything seriously, and the other person has already moved on. I think it's about love that hasn't come to the surface yet...or how sometimes the seemingly unimportant people can turn out to be the ones who affect you the most. I can relate to it. |

Here's the lyrics according to the album leaflet; You're the late night tussle you're the rumble in my room it's the mix of muscle and the wind on the dunes that makes me move if you winded a web through the break and bramble I could get caught in it and make the least of the day oh, I know I won't be misplaced But if I leave the line a second too soon would you pull apart the dark and flee from the room? Like all the wandering stars that wander in June that later huddle on the dark, dark side of the moon There's no suf- or prefix that binds to your name it gets my tongue tied and twisted like snowfall in May Oh, I know I won\'t be misplaced. |

This song hit me very hard when I first heard it. I had been in a relationship that was basically dying, it was falling apart and really, wasn't working out at all. Then I met my current boyfriend, and found myself head over heels for him when I was still in my other relationship. So the song's about falling in love when you're with someone else. "Give my gun away when it's loaded" means, basically, you're giving your heart to someone else when you already have someone. "If you don't shoot it how am I supposed to hold it"the current relationship isn't going anywhere, it's bound to happen. |
