Well...I think it's more than you guys before me said.It's more deep,it's not just about a kinda relationship you mentioned.I just can't figure out what's behind the lines.I mean,just look at the beginning...Who are 'they'?What he's singing about?'They were following me,/They were following everyone/
They had visions of me/Holding hands walking in to the sun?'.These lines complicate the whole song,in rest it's about a relationship.

Well i think that this line '2000 years of chasing taking its toll' means that the guy loved the girl for so long and he chased her,but after this long time the feeling of love,the thrill of the chase is fading away,and maybe he's sick and tired of this one-sided love.He slowly wants to let go of her.The girl is a 'thief':'she took my heart,i think she took my soul',she leaves him 'stranded all in love' on his own.It's about a one-sided love i suppose,but hey,i could be wrong.Either way it's and extremly beautiful song! |
